First Person Walkthrough Adventure Game, 2017 is a workshop which was first introduced to the PACTO group at the Bark
Art Residency in Athens. This workshop uses the instagram live feature as the
framework for an performative video game. In the original workshop the artist
separated workshop participants into two teams, one of which would stay
indoors, and another other which would venture outside followed by a cameraman on
instagram live.
While the indoor group (or the players) would have the power to delegate tasks to the outdoor group (or the avatars), the outdoor group was freer in the sense that
they could leave the indoor space, however their actions were restricted by the
indoor groups decision making, so long as they were in front of the camera.
First Person Walkthrough Adventure Game aims to explore the act of living
vicariously through virtual media. Incorporating concepts of avatar performance though a vidio-game framework.
